Christine Tambakis McDonnell
Ms. Christine Tambakis McDonnell has practiced with the principal members of Weiner, Shearouse, Weitz, Greenberg & Shawe since 1995, and her leadership and work ethic led to her being named the firm’s first female partner in 2004.
As one of the most visible representatives of the firm in Savannah’s competitive real estate market, Ms. McDonnell has played an integral role in the growth and continued success of the WSWGS real estate law and personnel department. She has infused her efficient style into the WSWGS residential and commercial real estate law department, ensuring that client satisfaction is the top priority for the entire department. In addition to her management role over the paralegals within the firm’s real estate department, her practice concentration includes residential and commercial real estate, creditor bankruptcy, general business, corporate formation, probate, and estate planning.
Ms. McDonnell grew up in the New York metropolitan area and received her undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College in 1986 and her Law Degree from the Jacob D. Fuchesburg Law Center at Touro College in 1989. Prior to relocating to Savannah, she distinguished herself as a transactional attorney representing national lending institutions in residential and commercial real estate, commercial foreclosures, bankruptcies, and workouts.
Ms. McDonnell enjoys contributing to her community by being a very active member of the Greek community in both Savannah and New York and serves on the Board of St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church. She is also a member of Savannah Board of Realtors, Savannah’s Women’s Council of Realtors, Mortgage Bankers, the Savannah Bar Association, and the New York Bar Association.
