William G. Glass

Bill Glass was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He is married to Elizabeth Gold Glass (Liz), a pediatric physical therapist and Savannah native. Liz and Bill have three children, Lily (24), Graham (22), and Kensie (16).

Bill received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his law degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law. Bill practices in the areas of commercial and residential real estate finance, acquisitions, development and leasing, business transactions and administration, and civil litigation. He was formerly Senior Counsel for International Paper Company’s Forest Products Division in Savannah, and Vice President and General Counsel of Cypress Communications, Inc., an Atlanta-based public telecommunications company. Before Cypress, Bill practiced at Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs LLP in Atlanta, where he represented developers, investors, landlords and tenants in all facets of real estate practice.

Bill is a member of the Georgia and Savannah Bar Associations. He is active as a member the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Board of Directors and he previously served as Chair of the NAHB Legal Action Committee.  Bill has been General Counsel for the Homebuilders Association of Greater Savannah for eight (8) years.  He also volunteers for  UTime Savannah, which provides recreation and childcare for children with special needs in the Savannah area, and the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Association.

Bill has been included in The Best Lawyers in America, Georgia Trend’s Legal Elite and Georgia Super Lawyers, and he maintains an “AV” rating from Martindale Hubbell Law Directory, which is the highest rating available.
