Edwin R. Byck
Edwin R. Byck is a Savannah native who has been with WSWGS since 1993. He has spent his legal career developing an expertise in representing and assisting small businesses. His father and grandfather owned small businesses in Savannah, and Mr. Byck has become one of the premier small business attorneys in Coastal Georgia.
Mr. Byck specializes in commercial real estate law with an emphasis on small business lending for business clients. During his career, Mr. Byck has been instrumental in the development and financing for small businesses, and he has earned a reputation as one of Savannah’s most accomplished small business attorneys.
Mr. Byck is one of only a handful of attorneys in the Southeast Georgia area who is designated as a 504 Closing Attorney by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Mr. Byck has also closed countless loans pursuant to the SBA 7(a) loan guarantee program. He is a member of the regional liaison committee for the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL) and an affiliate member of the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO).
As a small business lending expert, Mr. Byck represents and advises a vast majority of the lender in Coastal and South Georgia. In fact, Mr. Byck’s experience with both the SBA 7(a)and 504 loan programs qualifies him as one of very few SBA closing attorneys in Georgia outside of the Atlanta area. A member of the Georgia Lenders Quality Circle who has been listed in Georgia Trend Magazine’s “Legal Elite,” Mr. Byck has distinguished himself as one of the most trusted business attorneys in Savannah.
Mr. Byck currently serves as President Elect for the Savannah Jewish Federation. He is a former board member of Senior Citizens, Inc., Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Live Oak Public Libraries Foundation, Senior Citizens, Inc. and Savannah Country Day School.
